Planet of the Dead

Some of my work for BFA. We had to do concept art based on a short horror story and influenced heavily by an artist. My story was Planet of the Dead by Clark Ashton Smith and my artist was Jenny Saville. For the story, I re-read it a lot of times so that I could more clearly understand what kind of imagery was found on this other planet where the dead outnumber the living. I felt that it sounded like it was very Roman-esque, with columns, mausoleums, and cathedrals.
